Director Atlee Kumar has heaped praise on the trailer of Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi’s upcoming mythological epic Ramayana. Taking to social media on Monday, the Jawan filmmaker said he was “blown away” by the film’s scale and visual grandeur, applauding the team behind one of the year’s most anticipated releases.
In his post, Atlee praised producer Namit Malhotra’s vision and director Nitesh Tiwari’s “incredible craft,” describing the trailer as a cinematic spectacle. He also complimented the film’s lead cast, saying Yash looked “unbelievably lethal” in his role, while Ranbir Kapoor was “stunning” as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi appeared “ethereal” as Sita.

Sharing his admiration for the visuals, Atlee wrote that every frame felt “grand, fresh, and magical.” He concluded his note by wishing the entire team a blockbuster and calling Ramayana “truly epic.”
The film’s trailer is set to premiere worldwide on July 24. Ahead of its release, the makers hosted a special preview event, Pratham Sankalp, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, where a select audience got an early look at the promotional footage. The first instalment of Ramayana is slated to hit theatres during Diwali 2026.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is one of the most ambitious Indian films in production, with Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash leading the cast. The film is expected to blend cutting-edge visual effects with the timeless epic on a grand cinematic scale.
Meanwhile, Atlee continues to enjoy strong momentum following the blockbuster success of Jawan, which marked his Hindi directorial debut with Shah Rukh Khan. He is currently directing Raaka, a high-budget sci-fi entertainer starring Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone, which is expected to be another major pan-Indian spectacle.
