Rasha Thadani has opened up about the encouragement she has received from Prabhas as she prepares for her Telugu debut with Srinivasa Mangapuram, which is set to release later this month. The actress revealed that while she hasn’t interacted with the Baahubali star extensively, he has consistently supported her work behind the scenes and on social media.
Speaking to Idlebrain.com, Rasha said she has admired Prabhas ever since watching Baahubali 2. “I was 11 or 12 when Baahubali 2 came out, and I have been a fan of Prabhas sir ever since. My dad is very close to him. When the song Uyi Amma from Azaad was released, he made it a point to appreciate it. He even sends voice notes to my dad. Prabhas sir is incredibly supportive. He motivates me on social media and always posts for me. He shared the songs and teasers of my Hindi films. I am very grateful to have that kind of support from him,” she said.
Rasha’s father, film distributor Anil Thadani, has been associated with Prabhas’ films for several years, beginning with the Hindi distribution of Baahubali: The Beginning in 2015. He has since handled releases including Salaar and Kalki 2898 AD, and is reportedly expected to distribute Fauzi as well. Earlier, in an interaction with Filmfare, Rasha had spoken about the overwhelming response to Uyi Amma, one of the standout songs from her Hindi debut, Azaad.
“The song was shot just two months before the release of Azaad. It was all so last minute. Everyone was rushing to get everything right. When we filmed the song, I didn’t even realise how well it had turned out. When people come up to congratulate me, I am freaking out on the inside but pretending to be confident,” she had said.
Apart from acting, Rasha is a trained martial artist with a black belt in Taekwondo and is also passionate about dance and fitness. She will next be seen opposite debutant Jay Krishna Ghattamaneni, Mahesh Babu’s nephew, in Srinivasa Mangapuram. Directed by Ajay Bhupathi, the romantic action drama also stars Dr Mohan Babu in a pivotal role.
