Azealia Banks files a TRO against her ex-manager
Azealia Banks has recently filed for a temporary restraining order against her ex-manager, claiming that he psychologically and emotionally abused her. However, he claimed that the abuse has not been recent; instead, it has lasted over a decade. According to TMZ, the filing, made on Monday, July 27, 2026 (ET), claims that Banks has alleged that she has been abused by Jeff Kwatinetz since 2014.
Azealia Banks further claimed that the abuse began when he allegedly got her to sign up for a life insurance policy when she was intoxicated. The musician has alleged that she never reviewed the policy and didn’t get a chance to get it reviewed by her lawyer, and she wasn’t even sure if her legal team knew about it. She further asserted that Jeff Kawtinetz won’t tell her if the policy is still active or who benefits from it. The filing says:
