The actor appeared for the screening of his new film Magic Faraway Tree in New York City on July 30, 2026 (ET) and revealed what he thought of Tom playing the much-loved role. In a chat with Page Six, he complimented the actor’s skill and admitted that he was filled with love and appreciation for the star. He was quoted as saying:
“I think Tom is an incredible actor playing that character, and I love him and support him, and just want the best for him. I love Tom. I love Spider-Man; I always have loved Spider-Man since I was 3 years old.”
