Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming action thriller King, directed by Siddharth Anand, is slated to release on December 24, 2026. The film, which boasts an ensemble cast, is currently in its final production phase and has already generated considerable buzz around its scale and reported budget. As fans await the next promotional asset, speculation surrounding Raghav Juyal’s character has added another layer of intrigue.

Earlier, reports suggested that Raghav Juyal would play a young antagonist in King, potentially locking horns with Shah Rukh Khan’s character. However, the actor has dismissed the reports, insisting that the film’s story is far removed from what has been reported.
“These reports are completely false. It’s a very different story, and a unique plot. You will understand what it is when you watch the film,” Juyal said.
Without divulging details about his character, the actor revealed that he will sport a completely different look in the film. “My look in the film is very different and it’ll surely surprise the fans,” he added. Juyal also described Shah Rukh Khan as a fatherly figure and guiding force, further fuelling curiosity about their on-screen dynamic.
While King reportedly revolves around an underworld mentor-disciple relationship and a high-stakes revenge story, Juyal’s comments have ensured that audiences have even more reasons to remain curious.
SRK-Deepika’s reunion
The title reveal of King introduced Shah Rukh Khan in a rugged and intense avatar, signalling a darker action thriller. His reunion with Deepika Padukone has further heightened interest around the project. The two have previously shared the screen in Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, Happy New Year and Pathaan, with the latter three also emerging as major box-office successes.
SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan is also part of the film, while Abhishek Bachchan’s addition to the cast has raised expectations further. The actor is reportedly set to play the antagonist, adding another formidable dimension to the ensemble.
