Tribute to self-love
The actress celebrated the day with a heartfelt self-love tribute, sharing on Instagram. Kajol believed that her ultimate best friend is someone who has stood by her “since I was born and before.” She promised to always fight for and love this lifelong companion.
“Happy friendship day to the one who has stood by me since I was born and before .. it took so long for me to realise how precious she was and how much she fought for me even when I didn’t see it .. I see her now .. and I know her and love her so much more… and last of all I promise to love her and fight for her as well forever,” Kajol reflected.
Reminding fans that the friendship begins with oneself, she posted throwback pictures that trigger nostalgia. Netizens couldn’t have agreed more with her as they started sending ‘love emojis’ in the comments section.
Unconventional best friends
Beyond Kajol’s touching self-love note, she has frequently shared fond memories and appreciations from her close-knit group of friends on Friendships Day. Her cherished industry friends Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar continue to be on her list. The filmmaker and the actor share an iconic Bollywood bond with her.
Last year, the actress introduced netizens to her best friends on the occasion of National Bestfriend Day.
She revealed that her friends- her coffee, her crochet, and her books have a hard time understanding social media, which was why she could not upload a photo with them. “”I couldn’t get any pictures coz I was spending time with my best friends, and they really don’t get social media….my coffee, my crochet, and my books.”
