
A 26-year-old K-pop influencer, Mina Chan passed away after facing intense social media scrutiny. The Japanese social media creator saw the worst side of the internet, after she attended a fan-event. Mina died by suicide on August 5, 2026. The Japanese social media influencer based in South Korea had more than 80,000 TikTok followers.

Mina Chan faced the ugly side of social media bullying. She was so shaken by the harassment that she preferred ending her life. As per media reports, Mina died by suicide in Seoul, and authorities found her body in the early hours of August 5, 2026. As per reports, the harassment started after Mina Chan attended an ENHYPEN concert in late July 2026. She was a huge fan of Sunoo and Ni-ki.
During the concert, she had asked Sunoo to pass on the sunflower prop to Ni-ki during their performance as she wanted to create a fan moment. This situation led to her being criticized by the fandom of the band. Further, the 20-year-old singer, during his livestream, expressed his anger over attendees for prioritizing personal interactions over enjoying the concert.
