The Revolutionaries gets a September premiere character posters of lead actors unveiled

The makers of The Revolutionaries today announced the release date of the much-anticipated show and unveiled the character posters for the four lead actors. It is Nikkhil Advani’s upcoming period drama, set against the backdrop of India’s freedom movement, and follows four young revolutionaries whose stories have remained relatively lesser-known.
The series stars Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta and Gurfateh Pirzada in the lead, with Jason Shah, Paoli Dam and Tota Roy Chowdhury in key roles.

Based on Sanjeev Sanyal’s bestselling book Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom, the series follows Rash Behari Bose, played by Bhuvan Bam, Sachindra Nath Sanyal, played by Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Lahiri, played by Pratibha Ranta, and Bagha Jatin, played by Gurfateh Pirzada.

Set in the years following the revolt of 1857, The Revolutionaries traces the four young revolutionaries as they take on the British Empire and embrace the path of armed resistance. The story explores their friendships, sacrifices, betrayals and the choices they make in their pursuit of justice, liberty and freedom.
The series is created and directed by Nikkhil Advani and written by Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh, Akshita Wadhwana, Shobhit Narang and Rutvi Mehta. It is produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani under the banner of Emmay Entertainment.

Speaking about the series, Nikkhil Advani said, “What excited me most about The Revolutionaries was the opportunity to shine a light on the lesser-known heroes of pre-independence India. While inspired by real events and the extraordinary stories of courage documented in Sanjeev Sanyal’s eponymous book, we have approached the series as a character-driven action drama that explores rebellion, sacrifice, friendship, and freedom through an emotional and cinematic lens. We have a successful long-standing relationship with Prime Video and it has been a wonderful experience to collaborate with the team again to bring this vision to life with the scale and creative ambition it deserves. I am deeply grateful for how every member of our cast and crew brought remarkable honesty and conviction to their roles. I hope audiences across the world not only experience the thrill of this story, but also connect with the indomitable spirit of these heroes.”

The Revolutionaries will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on September 11 in Hindi, with dubs in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali, along with English and several international-language subtitles. The series will be available across India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
