Nayyi Navelli is an upcoming horror comedy under the direction of Balaji Mohan, which is due to release on October 16, 2026. The story follows the induction of the perfect bride (Yami Gautam) into a household. While her arrival brings forward a rather positive change in the home, a growing suspicion looms around the curious mind of her brother-in-law (Rajesh Dubeay). What is left to be seen is what the agenda behind her entering this chaotic family truly is, and if the family will be able to survive her.
This role plays in complete contrast to her previous sighting in Haq (2025), where the narrative follows her journey into fighting against the unjust triple talaq divorce system. As part of the promotion for Nayyi Navelli, her husband, Aditya Dhar, playfully teased her with a repost of the official poster. He added a hilarious comment to the story writing, “So this is what I married into!! (Evil emoji along with a heart and starstruck one as well)”.
Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar married back in May, 2021, after hitting it off during the promotions of their film URI: The Surgical Strike. In reply to Aditya Dhar’s story, Yami Gautam added, “Hahaha… writer saahab… aap filmon mein try kyun karte. Intezar kijiye 16 October ka (Tongue out and starstruck emoji)”. Which translates to “Writer, why do you not try working in films. Wait patiently till October 2026.”
The fantasy-family entertainer is looking to be the perfect watch this Dussehra. Fans are waiting with bated breath to witness what Yami Gautam’s character will bring to the film.
