The couple was found dead at their Los Angeles home by their daughter, Romy. Now, in his first interview following the murders, Jake Reiner spoke with KABC-TV’s Mark Cota-Robles about his parents, his childhood and how his life has changed since the tragedy.

In a recent conversation with KABC-TV’s Mark Cota-Robles, Jake Reiner opened up about his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner’s death. He shared that during these eight months he felt both impossibly long and startlingly immediate. Jake explained that while it’s been eight months since Rob and Michele were murdered, he felt like it’s been eight years. Recalling the time when he first came to know about his parents’ death, Jake shared:
“It’s been 8 months. It feels like 8 years at the same time. And it also feels like 8 minutes. Because every moment that I wake up, I’m reminded of my reality. Romy told me our dad was dead, and then she said, ‘I can’t find Mom.'”
