A football game turned fatal for a twenty-year-old MicahJo Barnett. He was playing for the William Jewell College and has left the entire football community mourning. As per reports, the young boy suffered a medical emergency mid game during the Cardinals’ season opener against Fort Lewis College on August 29, 2026.

MicahJo Barnett was born in Shawnee Missions, Kansas to Michelle Barnett and Felix Lora, as per his official William Jewell athletics biography. He had a big family, and had six siblings. His mother, Michelle Barnett often shared family pictures on her social media.
When Michelle paid a tribute to her son on his 19th birthday in 2024. She shared a childhood photograph of MicahJo and a picture of him celebrating his birthday. Talking about his education, he had attended Liberty North High School. It was during his time there that he emerged as one of Missouri’s standout high school player. Barnett was a junior and a business admistration major.
