The buzz heightened when she opened up about her sexuality, sharing that she was bisexual and turned asexual after her marriage to Gaurav. Amid their separation, she weighed in on infidelity in a relationship, calling it intolerable.

Akanksha Chamola made her stance very clear during an argument with Ram Kapoor about cheating in a relationship on Lock Upp 2. At that time, Ram said that sometimes people do end up engaging in infidelity by mistake due to some unforeseen circumstances. Akanksha strongly opposed him, saying that cheating can never happen mistakenly and a person does it in their full consciousness.
After the show ended, Akanksha sat down for an interview with News18 Showsha, where she was asked about the altercation with Ram. The host wanted to know why she has such a strong stance on cheating. To that, the Swaragini actress replied that she believed cheating is an immoral thing to do and it “should not be tolerated.” She cited an example of people who wrong their partners and then justify themselves by saying that at least they have not cheated.
