Rashmika Mandannaâs Mysaa Gets a Release Date Action Thriller to Hit Theatres on November 27

Rashmika Rashmika Mandanna’s Mysaa is set to hit theatres on November 27. Announcing the release date, the makers of the rooted and raw action drama wrote, “Resilient, Fearless and Unbreakable.” Directed by Rawindra Pulle, the pan-India action thriller aims to showcase Rashmika in her boldest and most action-oriented avatar yet.

Gruelling action schedules

Packed with high-intensity action sequences, the film features Rashmika as a tribal Gond girl. Reportedly, the role demands both extreme physical intensity and strong dramatic depth. To prepare for the demanding action set pieces, Rashmika underwent rigorous training at an intensive combat bootcamp in Bangkok, Thailand, earlier this year, practising for more than eight hours a day. The action sequences have been choreographed by renowned international stunt coordinators, including Kecha Khampakdee and Andy Long.

Rashmika Mandanna’s injury and rehab

Rashmika, known to Hindi audiences for Animal and Chhaava, recently filmed an intense underwater fight sequence for the pan-India action thriller. The sequence is being touted as India’s first female-led underwater combat scene. The actress performed the physically demanding stunts herself without using a body double, spending nearly 20 hours underwater across a two-day shoot.

Calling it the most challenging experience of her career, Rashmika shared behind-the-scenes glimpses from the shoot on social media. The physically demanding production also took a toll on her health. She suffered a complete tendon detachment in her right hip after weeks of intense rehearsals involving action and dance choreography. Doctors subsequently advised her to take complete rest and undergo rehabilitation.

After several weeks of recovery, Rashmika recently attended a high-profile industry event alongside her husband, Vijay Deverakonda. The appearance marked her first public outing since taking a break from work due to the injury.

Before Mysaa, Rashmika will be seen in Ranabaali, which is scheduled to release in theatres on October 16. The multilingual film promises a searing account of what its makers describe as the “darkest chapter of Indian history.”
