Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part 1 has been building anticipation one drop at a time, and the next one sounds particularly special. According to a report, the film’s first song is currently in its final stages, and it depicts the wedding of Lord Ram and Sita, pictured on Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. Given the sheer scale of this project, a track built around that moment is expected to carry serious emotional weight.
The timing isn’t random either. This song is being positioned as a key promotional asset ahead of the film’s second trailer, especially considering the musical firepower behind it, AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer, working together for the first time on any project. That in itself has made the soundtrack one of the most talked-about elements of the film even before its full release.
And speaking of Rahman and Zimmer, the two composers are reportedly set to headline a special musical evening in London, expected to be held on October 20, with early buzz pointing to the iconic Royal Albert Hall as the venue. The event is likely to bring together the film’s lead cast and creative team, and by the sound of it, will double up as a grand lead-in to the film’s second trailer, which is expected to drop around October 23.
This marks another step up in what’s already been a steadily escalating promotional campaign. It began with the “Rama” teaser back in April, followed by the first full trailer in July, a four-minute-plus glimpse into Ayodhya, exile, and the looming battle between Rama and Ravana. With the wedding song and a London concert now in the pipeline, the makers seem determined to keep the momentum building right up to release.
Directed by Tiwari and led by Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, Ramayana: Part 1 is set to hit theatres worldwide this Diwali, on November 6, 2026, with Part 2 arriving a year later.
If the scale of this rollout is any indication, this one isn’t just aiming to be a film. It’s aiming to be an event.
