Hema Malini, during a press conference, spoke about how religiously she would visit the temples. The entire buzz around the movie truly excited her. She even mentioned how the success could be attributed to Hanuman ji’s blessings. Hema Malini said, “There is a temple of Hanuman ji and Neem Karoli Baba here. I always visit here, and today I am very happy that a film has been made about them. It has become a superhit. Ye Hanuman Ji ka hi kripa hai (This is Hanuman Ji’s blessing).”
Hema Malini also applauded the young producer, Anupriya Nagar, and spoke highly about her contribution to the film. At the age of 21, Anupriya, highly motivated by the journey of Neem Karoli Baba, decided to tell his story through cinema. Hema Malini recently stated just how amped she was to watch the movie. She said, “The girl who made this film is an ordinary, simple girl. She doesn’t even know what filmmaking is, but because of her contribution, this film has turned out so well. Everyone is eager to watch it. I also want to watch it,” she added.
Vishal Chaturvedi’s Hanuman Ansh has been on a historic run, collecting over Rs 180 crores in gross all around India. The movie had seen a roughly slow start, with just Rs. 10 Lakh in collection on day 1. Fast forward to the present day, and Hanuman Ansh’s day 34 collection is just short of Mirzapur: The Movie’s Day 6 collection. That speaks volumes about the impact the movie is having on the audience.
Even Vishal Chaturvedi had the same say on this during an exclusive with Filmfare. He said, “I got a call mentioning how people were not leaving the theatre 15 minutes after the film had ended. They were expecting more from the film. People were having tears in their eyes while leaving the theatre.”
Hanuman Ansh will be released globally on September 11, 2026.
