Daredevil: Born Again gives fans what they’ve wanted for a very long time – Matt Murdock back in action. The series sees Charlie Cox reprise his role as the New York City lawyer/vigilante alongside a line-up of returning cast including Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin and Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle aka Punisher. In an exclusive interview with Filmfare, the show’s creator Dario Scardapane and executive producer Sana Amanat spilled some behind-the-scenes secrets.
Born Again will reunite Daredevil and The Punisher. Opening up about actors Charlie Cox and Jon Bernthal’s off-screen camaraderie, Dario says, “Jon and Charlie – that’s a whole different animal. We could just wind them up and let them go. I don’t want to get specific to avoid spoilers. But in the scenes where they are together, you just let them rip. I’ve worked with Jon before and it’s always a blast. Then to get the opportunity to work with them together, that’s pure gold. I had so much fun there.”
Sana quips, “There’s a lot of energy when they’re on set together. They become the maximum version of their characters. And it’s pretty awesome to see what happens (Laughs).”
“You work with what’s in front of you and there’s so much in front of you here. You let the actors do their thing,” Dario adds.
