Ever since the end-credit scene of Dhurandhar officially announced its sequel, fans have been expressing their excitement about it. The first film was a massive success at the box office, leaving the audience hungry for more of the high-stakes action and intrigue that director Aditya Dhar delivered. Now, it seems the wait for the first glimpse of the sequel is almost over.
Responding to the growing excitement online, Aditya Dhar recently took to social media to provide an update. Fans have been tagging his account with questions about the teaser of the upcoming sequel. Addressing a fan’s playful meme that said, “Aditya Dhar mazak nahi, teaser jaldi,” Aditya reposted the story on his Instagram and wrote, “Teaser will be out in a few days!” While the director didn’t specify an exact date, rumours are circulating that the teaser for Dhurandhar Part 2, also known as Dhurandhar: The Revenge, might be released on January 26 to coincide with Republic Day.
In the first part, Ranveer Singh won hearts with his performance as undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi. The story followed Rangi as he infiltrated Pakistan’s criminal underworld by posing as an ally named Hamza Ali Mazari. While he successfully took down several masterminds in the first part, his mission remains incomplete. In the sequel, he will return to finish the job and finally take down the mysterious Bade Sahab who was mentioned few times in the movie but wasn’t shown.
The sequel is expected to feature a power-packed ensemble. While Akshaye Khanna’s popular character will only appear in flashback scenes this time, other key cast members like Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun are set to reprise their roles. Interestingly, there are also reports suggesting that Vicky Kaushal might make an appearance as Major Vihaan Singh Shergill, his iconic character from Aditya Dhar’s Uri: The Surgical Strike. With the film set to release on March 19, 2026, the upcoming teaser is expected to set the stage for what promises to be one of the biggest action spectacles of the year.
