It was on January 28, 2026, that Pinky Mali had her last conversation with her dad, in which she told her papa that she was flying with Ajit Pawar. She had told him that she would make him speak to Ajit Pawar. Those were the last words of the 29-year-old Pinky, who was from Jaunpur district, located in Uttar Pradesh. Now, her younger brother, Karan, recalled the last conversation he had with Pinky.

When Pinky Mali’s family switched on the TV for the morning news, they were stunned to read about the horrific news of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s death. The Mali family soon read about their daughter, Pinky, among the dead. Pinky’s younger brother, Karan, aged 24, was at work back then when his phone started ringing. Karan recollected the last conversation he had with Pinky, and in an interview with News18, he shared:
“She told me she was flying from Baramati to Nanded. After that, there was no message, no call.”
