âœEvaarah Is Athiya 2.0 for Meâ â“ Suniel Shetty

In March 2025, Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty and ace cricketer KL Rahul welcomed their first child, a daughter named Evaarah. Since then, grandfather Sunil Shetty has been over the moon, often found expressing his joy about this new chapter of his life. Recently, the veteran actor spoke about his beloved granddaughter and called her the “2.0 version of Athiya”. He also opened up about being the fittest grandad at the age of 64.

While speaking to the Free Press Journal, Suniel Shetty revealed that his granddaughter, Evaarah, has already started adorably calling him “Aaja” (granddad in Telugu). He also shared how he looks forward to spending time with her. He said, “She is exactly like Athiya, in fact a 2.0 version of her. I spend every free moment with her.”

Talking about his daily routine, Suniel Shetty shared that he begins his day at the gym from 5:30 am to 7 am. After a quick shower, the actor makes it a point to spend time with his 13-month- old granddaughter, a phase he described as one of the happiest and most fulfilling periods of his life. While his work commitments often keep him busy, Suniel admitted that he constantly looks forward to returning home so that he can be with the little one, calling her lovingly  “ghar ki Lakshmi.”

Surprisingly, both Suniel Shetty and KL Rahul reside in the same building, in Pali Hill, Mumbai, which obviously makes it more convenient for the actor to visit Athiya’s home and spend quality time with his beloved granddaughter, Evaarah.

Meanwhile, Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul’s beloved daughter, Evaarah, turned one year old on March 24.

Following this, the couple took to their social media and dropped adorable glimpses from the party without revealing Evaarah’s face. The text on the balloons and cake read, “Evaaru is one” and “Evaaru turns one” respectively. Along with the pictures, they wrote, “Happy 1st birthday, my jaana. Thank you for choosing us. We love you beyond words and beyond worlds.”
