Sivakarthikeyan is set to star in AR Murugadoss’ upcoming film. Titled Madharasi, the film sees the Amaran actor don a never-seen-before avatar. Now, the director has shared details about the film’s protagonist and his unique look.
Sivarthikeyan told ETimes that Madharasi is an action film with a love story. It will open from the perspective of characters in North India who often refer to South Indians as “Madharasi.” Opening up about Sivakarthikeyan’s appearance in the film, Murugadoss shared that he will sport a rugged look as he doesn’t care about how he looks.
Murugadoss further shared that the character will have a unique trait. For the unversed, the director’s Ghajini featured memory loss while his Thuppakki featured sleeper cells. Without revealing much, he shared, “The unique element is with respect to Sivakarthikeyan’s character. However, I feel it’s too early to reveal what it is now. All I can say is that his character will be unusual.”
A first glimpse of Madharasi was released on Monday. It features several action sequences and teases powerful performance. The cast also includes Vidyut Jammwal who starred in Murugadoss’ Thuppaki. He will play the antagonist in the film. The film’s release date is yet to be announced.
AR Murugadoss’ film with Salman Khan gets an update
Salman Khan is set to star in AR Murugadoss’ much-anticipated Sikandar. The film also features Rashmika Mandanna in her first collaboration with the Bollywood star. Now, Salman has revealed that a new poster from the film is coming out later today. Wishing producer Sajid Nadiadwala on his birthday, Salman shared a photo and wrote, “Happy Bday grandson. Looking forward to the poster reveal at 3:33 pm.” Fans can expect an exciting new glimpse from the film which is currently in production.
