Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan have joined hands for a spy comedy titled Udta Teer. The makers announced this through a press release. This film also marks the fourth collaboration between Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, after Kill, Gyaarah Gyaarah, and The Lunchbox.
Udta Teer is a high-energy spy comedy. The film went on floors a couple of years ago but faced some delays. Now, it will be released on September 11, 2026. Bringing back Ayushmann’s much-loved flavour of humour-filled family entertainers, and Sara Ali Khan’s charm, Udta Teer turns the spy world on its head and into a full-on caper.
Written and directed by Akash A Kaushik, in his directorial debut, and produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor, and Achin Jain, the film continues the studios’ shared vision of delivering distinctive and entertaining content for audiences.

Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurrana was last seen in Maddock Horror Comedy Universe’s Thamma, where he played the role of a vampire for the first time. He shared the screen with Rashmika Mandanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, among others.
Besides Udta Teer, he also has another big project in the pipeline. He has been roped in for Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming film with Sharvari and will also be seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do.
Talking of Sara Ali Khan, the actress was last seen in Metro…In Dino. A spiritual sequel of Life in a Metro, the ensemble film also starred Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Neena Gupta and Anupam Kher among others. Sara will also be seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do with Ayushmann Khurrana and Wamiqa Gabbi.
