Actor Babil Khan recently took to Instagram and shared a heartfelt personal memory of his late father, Irrfan Khan, revealing how the late actor cared so deeply about his wife, Sutapa Sikdar, during his tough battle with cancer. The post provides a close glimpse of the family’s quiet resilience during one of their hardest times.
Babil Khan took to Instagram on Thursday, posting a series of pictures, capturing a calm moment at home. In this pictures, Irrfan Khan can be seen attending to his wife, Sutapa’s feet while she rests, a simple gesture that portrays how deeply they love each other, even during a difficult phase of their life.
In his caption, Babil described how his mother developed painful foot corns from constantly rushing around to care for Irrfan during his Illness. Despite his own suffering, the late actor, Irrfan Khan, would improvise a makeshift headlamp by tying his phone to his forehead and very carefully operate on her feet.
“During baba’s most unbearable peak cancer period, mamma used to get corns on her feet, running around and taking care of him. So Baba used to tie his phone to his head as a light source and operate on her corns. Both peeling off hardened layers of resistance towards the soft skin of love.”
