Beyoncé returned to the MET Gala after a decade! Yes, you read that right. This year, the super singer co-chaired the event, alongside Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and Anna Wintour. Quite naturally, Queen B had to make the evening special with her specialised ensemble. For the MET, Bey donned a custom, crystal-encrusted “skeleton-inspired naked dress” designed by Olivier Rousteing. The ensemble showcased a translucent, flesh-toned base adorned with intricately embellished skeletal detailing, finished with a dramatic and oversized feathered train.
On the other hand, Rihanna returned to the MET Gala after her appearance in India for a beauty event of her brand. She wore a custom, sculptural, and crinkled silver and gold gown designed by Maison Margiela by Glenn Martens. The ensemble featured a crystal- and bead-encrusted long-sleeve top paired with a fluid column silhouette, completed with an Art Deco-inspired headpiece and silver-toned makeup.
