
The weekend ended with the horrific news of the death of Maria Eudarda Rodrigues de Freitas. She was just 21 years old when she was thrown off a bridge during a bungee jump adventure sport without a rope attached to her harness. The three bungee instructors who held her claimed that they could not remember who was tasked with tethering her.

For the unversed, the three men were involved in the horrific accident as they forogt ot secure the bungee cord. The three men, Luis Felipe Feliciano Egoroff, 32, Maicon Fernandes Cintra, 42, and Vitor de Freitas Gonçalves, 27, forgot to secure the bungee cord. The three men’s faces were revealed in a post on X. Talking about what led to the bungee jump accident, one of the instructors, Egoroff, told authorities that he and Cintra were the ones who were assigned to attach the rope. He then claimed that he could not remember what happened at the time of the 21-year-old’s turn. He said:
“After that, it erased from my mind.”
