
Alia Bhatt starrer, Raazi, released in 2018, was one of the most loved films of the year. The movie, based on an Indian spy, ‘Sehmat Khan’, a Kashmiri woman who married a Pakistani officer to get intel during the Indo-Pak war in 1971, broke many records. However, the author of the book, Calling Sehmat, from which the film was inspired, isn’t too pleased by the way the director, Meghna Gulzar, handled the plot.

Amid the success of Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2, author Harinder Sikka recently spoke about the 2018 film, Raazi, inspired by his book, Calling Sehmat. The book gave an account of a Kashmiri girl, who, at the request of her father, becomes a RAW agent and gets married into a family of military officers in Pakistan.
