During the NBA Finals, Cardi B performed at halftime, and Charles Barkley made a comment about her, leading to backlash against him. And now, he has a reaction to the same, that too, a dare. To mention, it was not a direct comment on the backlash that he has been facing for his on-air jab at Cardi B, rather, it was a border remark about his contract. Well, the timing of the comment led people to align both incidents, for that matter.
Charles Barkley hopes ESPN fires him after he made a joke about Cardi B during the NBA Finals
The former NBA Hall of Fame basketball player and sports analyst, Charley Barkley, recently appeared on Fox Sports Radio and stated that he hopes he gets fired. The comment was made in a light tone, and Charles Barkley further mentioned that he has six to seven years left in his contract, and he really has the hope to get fired and to get paid. He also said that he would just love to get fired, as there is really zero chance for him to be working for the next six-seven years. Barkley could be quoted as saying:
“I’m hoping they fire me. I got six or seven years left on my contract that they know I got no chance of doing. I would love for them to fire me and have to pay me for the next six or seven years. I would love to get fired, I’m not gonna lie. Because there’s zero chance I’m gonna be working the next six or seven years, zero.”
