Coldplayâs Chris Martin apologizes for British colonialism in Mumbai

Indian Coldplay fans were waiting for bated breath for the British band’s concert in the country and they were not disappointed. Fans took to social media to share their experience, and it was nothing short of magical. However, they were in for a surprise when the band’s frontman Chris Martin apologised to Indians for British colonialism.

Addressing the crowd, he said, “Thank you for forgiving us for all the bad things that Britain does. This is our fourth visit to India, and the second time to play. First time we played a long show and we could not have asked for a better audience. Thank you for coming today, everybody!”

He added, “It is amazing to us that you welcome us even though we are from Great Britain. Thank you for forgiving us for all of the bad things that Great Britain has done.”

Meanwhile, Coldplay will be performing its third show in Mumbai on January 21 following which they will perform in Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26.
