Recently, at the ICC Champions Trophy finals, India’s epic win, Anushka and Virat’s chemistry and the actress’ denim outfit were the talks of the town.
For starters, India beat New Zealand by four wickets. Anushka and Virat were seen celebrating after the win, as they embraced each other and had the biggest smiles on their faces. Fans couldn’t help but gush about Anushka’s ensemble, which featured Maje Beaded Denim shirt and matching Maje shorts with embroidered beads. She paired the look with Reflection De Cartier bracelet and Love 10 Diamond bracelet. Anushka also flaunted her Prada Re-Nylon bucket bag. She completed her look with Flabelus’ Alvar shoes.
Why does this denim-on-denim look work?
Denim-on-denim, if not worn thoughtfully, may look drab. Anushka’s look works for a couple of reasons. First, the shirt and the shorts don’t have the same colour, which gives the overall outfit some contrast. The embroidered beads detailing makes the entire outfit stand out. The beads have been carefully knitted in to not appear gaudy or out of place.
Anushka, styling the ensemble with the minimalist bracelets also add to the appeal. She made sure to be cricket stadium-appropriate and not go over-the-top with her jewellery choices. In all honestly, minimal jewellery is what is making the outfit stand out. Carrying a black Prada bag brought in a colour contrast, which makes the ensemble appear edgy.
