According to reports, the suspected attacker, Aakash Kailash Kanojia, travelled on the Jnaneswari Express train from Durg. The train was between Gondia and Rajnandgaon station when the Railway Protection Force was alerted by the Mumbai Police of the suspect’s presence. The RPF was quick to act on the tip, and two teams were formed at Durg station upon the arrival of the train.
