Dhurandhar has been dominating headlines since its theatrical release on December 5, 2025. The film is back in discussion following its OTT drop on January 30, 2026. However, the reason for the buzz is not entirely positive. The spy thriller’s digital release has been met with heavy backlash from viewers due to alterations from the theatrical version. The OTT version features heavy censorship, including muted profanity. Despite the film carrying an ‘A’ certificate, many curse words and intense dialogues have been silenced.
Additionally, the theatrical version was approximately 3 hours and 34 minutes, while the Netflix version runs 3 hours and 25 minutes. Amid the controversy, the actors’ performances have been intensely scrutinised, with viewers pointing out a minute detail which they considered an error. However, director, Aditya Dhar’s recent clarification hints at the alleged error being a conscious move to foreshadow Part 2’s plot. Fans now think they have an answer to who might win the fight between ‘Hamza’ and ‘Uzair Baloch’.
Fans questioned the difference in gun-holding technique between ‘Hamza’ and ‘Uzair Baloch’ in Dhurandhar
The fans specifically pointed out a scene where Ranveer Singh‘s character, ‘Hamza Ali Mazari’ and Danish Pandor‘s ‘Uzair Baloch’ were seen clenching guns and looking out for enemies. The difference in the gun-holding technique drew viewers’ attention. ‘Uzair Baloch’s’ index finger was inside the trigger, ready for action, while ‘Hamza’s’ index finger was outside. The fans wondered if there was a mistake, since in that scene, both characters were working with ‘Rehman Dakait’s’ gang and needed to be at par in their fight readiness.
