Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh will be seen in the highly anticipated film Punjab ’95, based on the life of prominent Sikh human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra. He shared fresh BTS stills from the film and revealed the release date of the teaser.
The first photo sees Diljit’s character wounded and confined in a tiny, dark place. The second picture shows him with a newspaper in his hand and another photo shows his character standing in front of a burning pyre.
With the photos, he wrote that the teaser would come out on January 17. Take a look:
For the uninitiated, Jaswant Singh Khalra was a human rights activist. Over the span of ten years, he investigated the cremation of thousands of unidentified bodies in Punjab and uncovered human rights violations. He was kidnapped in 1995 and subsequently murdered.
The film is helmed by Honey Trehan and produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies.
