DJ Aqeel recently spilled the beans on his work in Bollywood. The musician opened up on performing at the sangeet ceremonies of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. During a recent interview with Siddharth Kanan, he called the two events “fun” and “crazy.”
Speaking about Abhishek and Aishwarya’s sangeet, the DJ described it as a “crazy party.” He noted that the same happened at his house in Juhu. While comparing it with Saif and Kareena’s mostly intimate sangeet ceremony, he said, “It (Abhishek-Aishwarya’s sangeet) was a crazy party. Both were fun. They are all my friends; I grew up with these guys. So, there was a sense of comfort in knowing the entire crowd. It wasn’t like a stranger came in and performed. Most of them even attended my wedding too.”
Aqeel hilariously added that Abhi-Ash’s sangeet was a hit affair. It was a much bigger party with Bollywood’s best superstars attending. However, Saif and Kareena’s sangeet bash had 80 people invited, mostly close friends and family.
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai tied the knot in April 2007. They have been married for 18 years and are parents to Aaradhya Bachchan.
