Filmfare Exclusive: It Is Very Easy to Direct Dad (Shah Rukh Khan) – Aryan Khan

Aryan Khan is without a doubt one of the most sought after directors of recent times. After making a roaring entry with Ba***ds of Bollywood last year, he has made it clear that he is here to stay. Aryan’s series starred Lakshya, Bobby Deol, Mona Singh, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bammba, Anya Singh and more. The show also featured Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Emraan Hashmi and more in cameos.

Recently we caught up with Aryan Khan as he launched a range of sunglasses under his brand D’YAVOL. He was in a cheerful mood and interacted with everyone present there in the most gracious manner. The director even showed an advertisement that he shot for the brand to launch the range of sunglasses ft. His superstar dad, Shah Rukh Khan. He seemed nervous as he stated that it was a total delight to work with his dad once again post Ba***ds of Bollywood.

When asked about the experience of working with SRK, he said, “He doesn’t forget anything, he is very easy to direct. It’s like a cheat code when you work with him. He already knows what needs to be done technically, so I don’t have to remind him those things as a director. Mera kaam hojata hai ( my work is easily done).” Adding to that, he joked and said, “The camera person doesn’t hate me then for being a newcomer because my actor already knows everything. (Laughs)”

When asked if SRK often schools him about what to do on set, he said,” I’ll be more than happy to be schooled by him. The only thing he keeps telling me is to shoot less takes.”

While revealing further details about the advertisement he shot for D’YAVOL, he said, “I have dubbed for him for this ad, I am sure you’ll can’t make out (laughs)”.

Aryan Khan will soon be directing the second season of Ba***ds of Bollywood, while SRK will soon be seen alongside daughter Suhana Khan in King. Keep watching this space for more on Bollywood.
