Final Destination: Bloodlines trailer: Tony Todd is back in the spine-chilling franchise

The Final Destination: Bloodlines trailer has been released and is packed with spine-chilling moments. The video also promises the return of a fan-favourite character, Tony Todd. The video ends with Todd’s appearance, as he wishes good luck.

The trailer shows Stefanie Lewis (Kaitlyn Santa Juana) returning from college and facing a horrifying truth. Her grandmother’s previous deed of saving many people from death has put her family in Death’s wish list. Stefanie soon discovers that her bloodline has been marked for death. However, she tries to find a way to break the cycle and save her family. She realised that if she does not, her family would be wiped out.

The trailer also had scenes referencing to the previous films, including the highway pileup scene in Final Destination 2. The horrifying scene reminded fans of the spine-chilling movies that have entertained them for ages.

The movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on May 16, 2025. Directed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, the screenplay for the movie has been written by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor. It is produced by Craig Perry, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, Jon Watts, Dianne McGunigle and Toby Emmerich.

The makers haven’t confirmed whether the movie will wrap up the Final Destination saga or return with an entirely new story. Speaking about the franchise with Variety, director Jeffrey Reddick had once opened up on the first film’s 25th anniversary. “The original story was very “A Nightmare on Elm Street”-influenced, where Death played with their survivor’s guilt or some secrets that they had to drive them to suicide, which was pretty dark,” he said.

He added, “What I loved was when James and Glen came and wrote the shooting script is they fought to make sure that there was no death. And I think their idea to do the Rube Goldberg thing where death kind of uses everyday things around us was genius.”
