According to the attorney, a great deal of misinformation has been circulated, and while currently Phil Mickelson’s focus is on his family’s health matter, he retained defamation counsel. According to Tom Clare, Phil Mickelson will take action against those publications and individuals who have been circulating the same rumours. The attorney’s exact words were:
