The trailer for the highly anticipated Ground Zero was unveiled today at an event in Mumbai. Starring Emraan Hashmi, Sai Tamhankar and more in key roles, the film is an action thriller based on a true story. It revolves around Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, a Deputy Commandant from the Border Security Force (BSF) in Kashmir and his investigation into the 2001 Parliament attack. It went down in history as BSF’s best operation in the past 50 years.
The trailer of Ground Zero is action-packed
The trailer opens in Kashmir in 2001. As terrorists threaten the Border Security Force, Emraan Hashmi’s Dubey arrives on the scene. Emraan appears in a new avatar as a soldier. We then get several graphic shots of the tension and violence in Kashmir. Between rousing dialogues and a spine-chilling representation of the real-life incident, the trailer manages to pack enough action and emotions.

From what we’ve seen so far, Emraan Hashmi is poised to deliver an impactful performance as a soldier. He plays a man who is pushed to his limits before he decides to retaliate. A line from the trailer goes, “Ab prahaar hoga,” setting the tone for the narrative. We also get a glimpse of Sai Tamhankar, who plays Emraan’s on-screen wife. This marks the actors’ first collaboration.
At the trailer launch, Emraan spoke about the challenges of playing a real person. He shared, “I had a few conversations with him [Dubey] in Srinagar when he was there to understand the psyche when he was going into the operation. Small things like what are the conversations he had with his wife before leaving for the encounter. These things lend a certain base to paint the character well on screen.”

About Ground Zero
Directed by Tejas Deoskar, the film also features Zoya Hussain, Mukesh Tiwari, Deepak Parmesh, Lalit Prabhakar, Rockey Raina, Rahul Vohra. Ground Zero will release in theatres on April 25, 2025.
