
Hansal Mehta is a popular filmmaker in Indian cinema who has some acclaimed projects to his name. He started his career in 1993 by directing the popular cookery show on TV, Khana Khazana. The show made chef, Sanjeev Kapoor a star overnight. Hansal went on to direct shows like Amrita, Highway, Yaadein, Lakshya, Neeti and a few others.
The filmmaker made his directorial debut with the film, Jayate, which was followed by Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar. Over the years, Hansal has made films that deal with many socio-political topics and won huge applause. Be it Shahid or Aligarh, Hansal’s films explored societal issues and human complexities. His other projects include The Buckingham Murders, Scam 1992, Scoop, Lootere, Scam 2003 and many others.
