Harry Potter has remained one of the globally-loved film series that, over the years, turned out to be not just a comfort watch but also something that is tied to emotion. Warner Bros. adapted J.K Rowling’s novel series into an eight-part film series, and the rest is history. Well, it was announced last Spring that a reboot might hit soon. For the unversed, HBO will release a TV series based on Harry Potter, not a movie. Each book will run through each season, for a total of 8 seasons.
With the announcement of Harry Potter making its way to the small screens through HBO, Potterheads were left super excited, and no sooner than the teaser of the first season, Philosopher’s/Sorcerer’s Stone was dropped, than they were over the moon. Well, some fans were still left confused. So, let’s have a look at the reactions along with the estimated salaries of the entirely new cast of the Harry Potter HBO series.
HBO’s Harry Potter TV series: How did the Potterheads react to the trailer?
The HBO series of Harry Potter will introduce an entirely new cast with Dominic McLaughlin playing ‘Harry Potter’, Arabella Stanton being the new ‘Hermione Granger’, and Alastair Stout playing the role of ‘Ron Weasley’. The expectation is high for the trio, with the OGs already setting the bar so high that now watching the teaser not only ended up making people nostalgic but also already made them come to the comparison ground. In the series, John Lithgow will play the role of ‘Headmaster Albus Dumbledore’ while Janet McTeer will be seen as ‘Professor Minerva McGonagall’, and Paapa Essiedu will play the role of ‘Professor Severus Snape’.
