Michael Jackson’s fortune is still making headlines almost twenty years after his death, and at the centre of the estate’s dispute is the late pop star’s only daughter, Paris Jackson. With the theatrical release of Michael, the Jackson clan once again returned to the spotlight, but not necessarily for Jaafar Jackson‘s brilliance in portraying his uncle in the biopic.
When Michael premiered on April 20, 2026, at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, the absence of Paris Jackson among the attendees didn’t go unnoticed. Paris and her aunt, Janet, publicly distanced themselves from the project, with the 28-year-old calling it out on her social media for her dad’s biopic being “sugarcoated”.
