Hrithik Roshan, who has been headlining Krrish, ever since the franchise came into being in 2006, is taking up a different role soon. His father Rakesh Roshan confirmed that Hrithik will make his directorial debut with Krrish 4. The veteran director also confirmed that Aditya Chopra will back the film.
The actor shared a heartwarming photo with his son, where the duo look dapper. In a recent conversation with a leading Bollywood portal, the veteran director also said, “I am passing the baton of being the director of Krrish 4 to my son, Hrithik Roshan, who has lived, breathed and dreamt about this franchise since its inception with me. Hrithik has a clear and very ambitious vision of taking Krrish’s journey forward with the audience for the next decades.”
While noting that he is proud of Hrithik’s achievements, he added, “Krrish has entertained audiences the world over, and Hrithik will now reveal the next chapters of this superhero saga and take the vision I created so many years ago to greater heights.”
Rakesh Roshan also showed excitement about Hrithik and Aditya coming together as producer and director. “I am sure they will turn Krrish 4 into a theatrical experience that has never been made in India,” he noted.
According to reports, the movie is currently in its pre-production stage. Krrish 4 is scheduled to go on floors in early 2026. Neither Hrithik Roshan nor Rakesh Roshan has confirmed any other projects yet.
