Kelsea Ballerini was previously married to Australian singer-songwriter, Morgan Evans. The much-loved country singer started dating Morgan in early 2016 after they shared the stage at Australia’s Country Music Channel Awards. There was an immediate spark between the two, and they even hung out at the after-party. In a conversation with PEOPLE, Kelsea recalled that Morgan was the one who made a move on her by asking, “if he could kiss me, like a proper gentleman.” The pair made their red carpet debut later that year, in November, at the Country Music Association Awards. Kelsea and Morgan soon after decided to take the jump and got engaged in December 2016.
