Atlee has collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan and Varun Dhawan, AR Murugadoss has directed Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. South filmmakers have forged exciting creative partnerships with Bollywood stars in the past and in recent months. The latest partnership to join this elite list is that of Salman and Amaran director Rajkumar Periasamy. Rajkumar had last directed the Tamil-hit Amaran which featured Sivakarthikeyan in the lead along with Sai Pallavi. The war-action drama was a runaway hit and it seems the film’s success has landed Rajkumar an elusive audience with Salman Khan.
Our source informs us, “There’s no final confirmation on the project, but Rajkumar has had a few meetings with folks at Salman Khan Films. In fact, he’s also narrated the story of his film to Salman and the script has been submitted as well. Those who were part of the narration have also said that Salman liked the story, but he is yet to confirm if the project is happening or not.” Of what we’ve seen in Amaran, Rajkumar Periasamy has the knack of creating stunning action sequences and adding the right kind of emotion to an action flick. That skill will be perfect to create an action movie with Salman Khan in the lead.
For now Salman Khan’s focus is on his upcoming release Sikandar where he’s collaborated with AR Murugadoss and cast members Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Smita Patil and Anjini Dhawan. Not just that, we told you that Salman is also going to feature in the English remake of the Argentinian film Seven Dogs, marking a new international collaboration for him. And that’s not all. Salman will also join forces with Sanjay Dutt to make an all-out action movie that will have both men in full-blown macho avatars.
