
NBA player, Jaden Ivey has once again found himself in the middle of an intense controversy amid his removal from the team, Chicago Bulls. For the unversed, Jaden, recently shared his views on the queer community, which sparked an online debate. Following this, his team removed him. Well, now, the player has come forward and spoken about his personal struggles and mental health.

Hours after, Chicago Bulls announced their decision to remove Jaden Ivey claiming that he is ‘detrimental’ for the team, the player opened up about thoughts on the ongoing controversy on the Pin Point podcast. Jaden mentioned that in the past, he has tried to commit suicide multiple times; however, it was his wife who supported him during the tough phase. He was quoted as saying:
“I’ve almost committed suicide multiple times, and I’m not ashamed to say it. I’m not ashamed because God was merciful to keep me here. I almost committed suicide. I had [oxycodone] pills in my hand. And my wife was telling me, ‘Don’t do this. Don’t go down this road. I didn’t do it by God’s grace.”
