Jaideep Ahlawat gained fame for his versatile roles, immersive acting abilities, and stellar performances that headlined popular films like Maharaj, Raazi, An Action Hero etc. The actor began his acting journey after graduating from FTII, which led him to Mumbai. Gradually, Ahlawat featured in some minor roles before his role in Gangs Of Wasseypur brought him into the spotlight. Recently, the actor reflected on one of the difficult phases of his career when, despite appreciation, he didn’t get good role after his performance in Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi.
Jaideep Ahlawat reveals work opportunities dried up for him after Raazi
Jaideep Ahlawat, known for his upfront attitude, sat down for a recent roundtable discussion with The Hollywood Reporter India. During the conversation, he shared that he came across a time when he was keen to do good work in his career and got the opportunity to work in Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi. Consequently, the role brought him massive appreciation, but he still didn’t get the kind of work opportunities he expected after it. He said:
“After Raazi, I didn’t have work. And you are like, ‘What went wrong?’ Everybody is praising it. Everybody is talking about the role.”
