Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most anticipated romantic dramas, Love & War, finally has a release date. The emotional saga starring Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt was supposed to hit the theatres this year. However, after several reshoots and delays, the film will now arrive in theatres in 2027.
The filmmaker announced the same through a social media post. The post featured a picture of the cast along with SLB. The text on it read, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War 21st January 2027”

Carrying the signature Bhansali stamp of immersive storytelling and a visually rich cinematic world, the film is expected to deliver both scale and emotional depth for audiences worldwide. Mounted on a grand scale, Love & War marks Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most ambitious romantic drama yet.
While Ranbir and Vicky both shared the screen with each other and with Alia in their previous films, this is the first time the three of them will come together for a film. The film has been creating buzz for quite some time now. Last year, some photos featuring Alia and Ranbir were also leaked online, where they were seen in a vintage getup.
Meanwhile, Vicky recently opened up about the film during a conversation with Just Too Filmy and said that this collaboration is a dream come true for him.
The actor noted, “It’s on the bucket list of every actor to be a part of a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. I’ve admired his films, I’ve admired him as a filmmaker… he is truly a unique voice from India,” he said. He further added, “He truly is a master of the craft of filmmaking. I genuinely feel blessed that in just ten years of my career.”
Vicky also shared that he has been lucky to be a part of the film, alongside actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
Love & War will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
