The makers have released a hard-hitting teaser for Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh. Akshay Kumar portrays the role of Sir C Sankaran Nair, who fights to bring justice to the innocents massacred during the brutal attack. The clip begins with the terrifying cries from victims and grieving families. Phrases like “Please stop, for God’s sake,” “Shoot them” and “The gates are locked” are heard throughout the first part of the teaser. The video also opens with the caption, “These visuals are too horrific to display.”
Previously, the makers had released a video with an in-video caption, “A revolution painted in courage.” The caption, alongside the video, read, “Kuch ladaaiyan hathiyaaron se nahi ladi jaati (Some fights are not fought with weapons) #KesariChapter2 teaser out on 24th March.” They also announced the postponement of the movie’s release. According to the new developments, it is now slated to release on April 18, 2025.

For those unaware, it is based on the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. Raghu Palat is the great-grandson of C Sankaran Nair. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the movie will reportedly focus on bringing untold truths to light. The first instalment, Kesari, was released six years ago. It explored the story of 21 Sikh soldiers from the British Indian Army who defended Saragarhi against 10,000 Afghan tribesmen in 1897. Akshay Kumar, as Ishar Singh, led the movie.
