Queen of Tears star Kim Soo Hyun is embroiled in a major controversy over dating rumours with the late Kim Sae Ron. The rumours claim that the actor started dating Sae Ron when she was 16 years old and he was 27. They were allegedly together for six years before their relationship ended. The claims surfaced when Garosero Research Institute’s YouTube channel shared a video about Soo Hyun’s past. Now, the actor’s agency has refuted the accusations.
Kim Soo Hyun’s agency issues statement
Kim Soo Hyun’s agency Gold Medalist addressed allegations in a statement that reads, “The claims made by the Garo-SEO Research Institute about Kim Soo-hyun in their YouTube live broadcast are completely false. They alleged that our company and Kim Soo Hyun colluded with YouTuber Lee Jinho to harass the late actress Kim Sae Ron. They also claimed that Kim Soo Hyun was in a relationship with the late Kijm Sae Ron when she was 15 years old, that our agency’s handling of her DUI incident was inappropriate, and that one of our managers had personal ties with YouTuber Lee Jinho. These are baseless and malicious claims that we cannot tolerate.”
The agency also shared that they are looking into taking legal action against Garosero Research Institute. The statement further mentioned that the agency mourns Kim Sae Ron’s passing. Read the full statement shared by an X user here:
Kim Sae Ron’s passing
South Korean actress Kim Sae Ron, best known for The Man from Nowhere, Listen to My Heart and more, tragically passed away at the age of 25. She was found dead in her home on February 16, 2025. A friend discovered her collapsed on the floor and informed authorities.
