The second season of Kohrra returns with a new trailer that sets up a tense investigative drama in the mist covered town of Dalerpura. The story centres on the murder of a woman found dead in her brother’s barn, triggering an investigation filled with suspicion, buried secrets and conflicting accounts. With several suspects, including her husband, the case slowly exposes the uneasy dynamics within the town.
Barun Sobti reprises his role as Assistant Sub Inspector Amarpal Garundi, who is trying to leave his past behind after moving away from Jagrana. Now working under a new commanding officer, Sub Inspector Dhanwant Kaur, played by Mona Singh, Garundi finds himself in a new professional environment. Dhanwant’s restrained and methodical approach contrasts with Garundi’s instinctive style, and their contrasting personalities shape the investigation as they work together to uncover the truth.
Talking about his character’s arc, Barun Sobti shared, “Garundi begins this season hoping to start afresh, but in a world like Kohrra, the past never quite lets go. The mystery this time is denser and more layered, and that complexity reflects in Garundi’s own journey. He’s more introspective, more guarded, and constantly negotiating with his own choices. Season 2 pushed me as an actor in new ways, and I’m excited for viewers to return to this world and experience how the story unfolds.”
Mona Singh, who joins the series this season, described her experience by saying, “Stepping into the world of Kohrra was both exciting and daunting because of how thoughtfully it is written.
