Kriti Sanon opened up on freezing eggs, getting married and having kids
Kriti Sanon, who is currently 35 years old, revealed that she froze her eggs between late 2019 and early 2022. She didn’t share the exact date or month when she got the procedure done. However, she revealed that it was during the time she was shooting for the movie, Mimi and was asked to gain 15 kgs for the role. In Mimi, Kriti plays the titular role of a surrogate mother, and thus, it was easier for her to get her eggs frozen at that time, so that her bodily changes would go unnoticed while filming. In a recent interaction with Humans of Bombay founder Karishma Mehta, the actress made the candid revelation.
“I did it very smartly during that time when I had to gain weight for Mimi…I spoke to someone who told me about it and said that this is the best thing you can do for yourself if you can. It’s the best gift you can give yourself. When I was told to gain weight, I realised I had two months of no shoot, and all I am supposed to do is gain weight, and this is a film on surrogacy, so let me just do it because I felt everything.”
