
Kunal Kohli is one of the many filmmakers, who never got the credit they deserved for their movies. The director marked his return to Bollywood after a gap of a few years in 2025 with the film, Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story. Although the film didn’t perform to the high standards we expect from Kunal Kohli, it did mark the Bollywood debut of Kaveri Kapur, daughter of Shekhar Kapoor and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi. For instance, recently, at the event, Indian Now and How, Kunal Kohli shared his thoughts on films and went back in time to share some interesting anecdotes about his career. During the event, Kunal shared that the late legendary filmmaker, Yash Chopra wasn’t impressed with Hum Tum‘s script initially. The director told Kunal that Mujhse Dosti Karoge! is Mughal-E-Azam in front of Hum Tum. Yash Chopra just gave Rs. 7.5 crore to Kunal Kohli.
